Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in updating you on the Mens' team results, but here goes!
Since my last e mail we have had losses in the Eversley at Bishops Stortford, the Lyndhurst to
Allenburys and a narrow defeat to Townsend, by only 2 shots, in the quarter final of the County
Team Ten.
We have had our successes though, in the New Thurgood (2 fours), beating Northaw & Cuffley
by 2 shots in the 2nd round. We're now in the semi-final against Whit Hern at Ware Bowls Club
on Monday 1st August, 6pm start. Supporters very welcome!
Our next fixture is the Ranson Cup (2 fours) against Sawbridgeworth, home and away this thursday.
We're also playing the Scott Blain Trophy,1st Round, against Cockfosters at our green this friday
evening. Again, supporters welcome.
Well done to all those who've turned out to play in the comps so far, sometimes in awful weather!
Let's hope we have some success in the remaining fixtures.
