On Sunday 27th September our last game for 2020 was played. Not the warmest of days but thankfully the rain stayed away and, as always, good company made it fun. The drive was won by Mary Edgar with Carol Hammond runner-up. Booby prize went to Vera (don't mention the score)!
Maria organised a BBQ with help from Doris and Mary, and as the aromas drifted through the air at end of play, everyone was ready to eat (and drink!). Dave Cheshire brought along his gas bbq, so thanks all round.
Sunday's drive, as with other weekend events and club nights held during the summer, was organised by Pauline. Despite COVID restrictions the club kept going through her tireless leadership.
Thanks go to Eric Saint for organising the three matches home and away with Welwyn, to Gill for organising the Fun Day and to all who helped to maintain the green.
The green is now closed and work has begun in preparation for 2021. Fingers crossed it may be possible to fulfil all, or at least some, of our fixtures next year!
