Hertford Castle Bowls Club

     The lawn in front of the castle will be prepared so that we will have two rinks operational. Hertford Town Council are to celebrate 100 years of Hertford Castle grounds being open to the public on Sunday 22nd July 2012.
     60 years ago our club used to bowl in the Castle grounds, hence our name. Your committee have negotiated with the Town Council to have two rinks prepared in front of the Castle for this event. They will be used by our Club to demonstrate the game of bowls and 'hopefully' act as a recruitment exercise.
